Leeport Becomes Distributor of Prima in China

(Hong Kong, 30 April 2008) Leeport (Holdings) Limited today announced that the Group has become the distributor of Prima Industrie S.p.A in China following Prima??s acquisition of Finn-Power, a longstanding supplier of Leeport, in January 2008. Established in 1977, Prima is a leading player in the industrial laser machine tool sector. The Italian-based company develops, manufactures, and markets high-power laser systems for cutting, welding and drilling of three-dimensional and bi-dimensional parts. Finn-Power, a Finnish company, has 25-year history of growth and innovation in the fabrication of sheet metal working machines. Leeport has been the sole agent of Finn-Power for more than 10 years in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. The acquisition has created a global leader in laser and sheet metal working systems with pro-forma revenues in excess of 400 million euros, and with a presence in 50 countries including ten manufacturing facilities located in China, Italy, Finland and the USA.
