Hirschvogel Acquires Shares of Joint Venture Partner in India
Hirschvogel Holding GmbH is the majority shareholder (51 %) of Hirschvogel Kalyani India Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture with the Indian automotive supplier, Kalyani Thermal Systems Ltd. (KTSL). The company was founded in 2008 to provide Hirschvogel technology and products to the rapidly growing Indian automotive industry. During intensive discussions between the joint venture partners about the future development and orientation of the company, both parties agreed to Hirschvogel acquiring the minority interest (49 %) held by KTSL.
On April 30, the contract was signed for the immediate acquisition of the shares in India. The 100 % subsidiary will now operate under the name Hirschvogel Components India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Detlef Lumm, who has been working for Hirschvogel in India since the founding of the joint venture, will continue to head the company as CEO.
Hirschvogel Components India Pvt. Ltd. is located in Ranjangaon, near to Pune. The company focuses on the requirements of the Indian automotive industry for forged and machined parts. It thus represents an important part of the corporate strategy of the Hirschvogel Automotive Group, which involves being represented locally with its own production sites on the globalized automotive market. |
