FAW Bharat Forge (Changchun) Company Limited is established on 9th March, 2006 and the Opening Ceremony held on 20th March.
The joint venture is found on basis of former FAW Forging Company which was a wholly owned subsidiary of China FAW Group Corporation. The JV has 100554 square meters area, the investment contributed by Bharat Forge Limited (India) and China FAW Group Corporation is 52% and 48% respectively. Till now, the JV is the largest cooperating project between India and China enterprises, the successful cooperation has epochal meaning for international trade and cooperation between China and India.
FAW Bharat Forge (Changchun) Company Limited engages in manufacturing of various forging parts for both automotive and non-automotive industry. In additional, the company is also involved in the development, design and technical consultancy of forging dies. Besides maintaining the business partnership with FAW Group and other domestic and global automotive companies, the JV is also planning to expand its business to railway, mining, steel, oil and many other segments. At present, the company has more than 370 sets of forging equipments, 44 forging production lines and 13 heat treatment lines. In 10 years, the annual capacity of the company will reach 200000 tons.
